A U.S. delegation, led by Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns, will visit Ukraine on September 8-10, the director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's information policy department, Oleh Voloshyn, has said.

During meetings with senior Ukrainian officials, the delegation is planning to discuss a wide range of issues of Ukrainian-U.S. cooperation in the sphere of international relations and security, he said.

"The fact that the delegation will be headed by the third-ranking official in the Department of State is evidence of a high level of Ukrainian-U.S. partnership and the great prospects of its development," Voloshyn said.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Ukraine in early July 2010.
