Ukraine has succeeded as a democratic state, which is proved by the 2010 presidential election recognized by the international community to be in line with highest democratic standards, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Gryshchenko addressed the 10th high-level meeting of the participating countries of the Community of Democracies in Poland on July 3, the Foreign Ministry press office reported.

Gryshchenkonoted that the corresponding estimates of the last campaign were made in Krakow by Foreign Minister of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski, who presided the meeting.

According to Gryshchenko, now the Ukrainian society is experiencing the process of consolidation of civil liberties as a priority value for the majority of citizens. This trend will become more stable, given that more young people, being the main carrier of the relevant values, are presented in politics and other spheres of public life, he said.

Gryshchenkoassured those present that in Ukraine there is no problem with freedom of speech, and politicians, both in the office and in opposition, more often than in other developed democratic countries participate in live talk shows that are much popular than other television programs.

The 10th high-level meeting of the participating countries of the Community of Democracies in Krakow was attended by delegations from more than 50 countries. Among the participants of the meeting there were U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the foreign ministers of Poland, Sweden, Canada, Montenegro, Lithuania, Kenya, Georgia other countries from all continents.
