On March 3, 2010, the «Embassy», Canada’s foreign policy newsweekly presented a traditional look at Ottawa’s key diplomatic players and issued a list of diplomats to keep an eye on during the next season. Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Ihor Ostash is on the top eleven rating list.

 

Except the Ambassador of Ukraine in Canada this list comprises ambassadors of the United States, Afghanistan, EU, Haiti, Brazil, Israel, Colombia, Mexico China and India.

 

In comments on Ukraine newspaper reports about active bilateral relations between Ukraine and Canada in recent years, including negotiations on free trade agreements, programs within the Canadian International Development Agency, Canada's support for Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine.

 

In the 2008 Ottawa’s key diplomatic review of the «Embassy» Ambassador of Ukraine in Canada Ihor Ostash also was named among the ten most influential ambassadors of foreign states in Canada.
