Ukraine welcomes the European Parliament resolution on Ukraine unanimously voted on February 25, 2010, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

“We note extremely important and long-waited signals on the part of the European Parliament as referred to the recognition of Ukraine's European prospect and the readiness to start drafting the road map for no-visa regime for Ukrainians. We hope that such positive signals will be reflected in the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement,” reads the statement.

The Foreign Ministry says Ukraine will be doing its best to achieve a new progress in developing relations with the EU and implementing systemic reforms needed for that.

“The first visit of Ukraine's new President Viktor Yanukovych to Brussels on March 1, 2010 will be important in this context,” says the document.
